    Parc de Samara

    Time travel.

Travel back in time to find out more about how our ancestors lived, from the Palaeolithic to the Gallo-Roman era.
Just a few miles from the city of Amiens on the banks of the River Somme, Samara Open-Air Museum takes you through over 600,000 years of French history.

Covering 24 hectares, the displays, exhibitions, replica homes and demonstrations of activities like basketwork, pottery, mosaic making, stonework, leatherwork and woodwork make you feel like you’re really there. As well as the archaeological attractions, there’s also a nature park with gardens, wetlands and more than 700 different species of flora and fauna.
